Introductions

And Some Friday Fodder

I have been meaning to do this for a while, but I remember when I am away from the keyboard, and forget when I am here, go figure.  Anyway, I dont think I have ever really explained who everyone is that I write about. I dont like to always say my husband,  or my son, I prefer to just refer to them as their given name.  So here goes, my name is Lisa, I am number 11 of 12 kids. 10 girls and 2 boys. John is my husband, so when I write John, you know who I am talking about. Andy is my oldest son, and he is married to Tania, and they have two beautiful babies. Alex is my youngest and his girlfriend is Claire.  I know this is probably sorta silly maybe, thinking you are wondering who the heck I am tlaking about when I say someones name, without saying who they are. Rather presumptuous of me huh?

 Actually, it is only for my own self.  I feel sorta funny sometimes when I write about someone and no one knows who the heck I am talking about. I dont want to say "my oldest sons wife" or "my youngest sons girlfriend". It is just easier to write Tania or Claire.

Ok, on to the other silly stuff. Once again, I didnt have to work last night. I am getting sorta used to this little routine. I know it wont last very long, so I am enjoying it while it does.  I went in for about 15 minutes, and they told me I could go home, I made all the right checks, once again changed my shoes, and was out the door.  I slept when I came home, so I should feel good today. I think I will get my house clean and get some sewing done. Please note the new blast at the top of my home page.

Tomarrow, there is going to be a chile cookoff at the VFW  John belongs to. They make quite a bit of cash at this function. It is used to support and make improvememnts to the hall. And it is fun. There will be a raffle and an aution. Last year I volenteered to make a quilt for them to auction off.  It has been ready since January. It is a heritage quilt with a star pattern. I will take a pic of it and post it in my album. I really hope they get a good price for it. I have about 150.00 into it, so I would hope they get at least that. Yes, it cost that much to make a quilt, and it isnt even a King size. John will have to work, so Claire will hang out with me. It should be fun.

Ok, so much for todays Friday Fodder. I need to get doin what Im gonna do. Probably sew first.
