Yesterday is over

Remember when I got my new lappy? I was so happy, I took everyone with me to Oklahoma, the grand canyon, Roswell. It was so much fun. But ever since then, I have had small irritating problems with my lappy. The sound kept going out on me. I would call and get it fixed, it would stay fixed for a while, the one day, like yesterday, it would go out again. Like yesterday, i called Costco Concierge Service, which is free by the way when you purchase from Costco. But yesterday was different. Oh yes, it was very different. When i told the guy I had had this problem before, he said he would have to hook me up with the guys at Compaq to fix this problem for good. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! PLEASE NOT THAT! YES HE DID. OK back to regular letters, no more yelling. He hooked me up to some guy reading out of a book from India, Named Harry. yeah RIGHT. The only guy in India named Harry was born here to a mom named Jane and a dad named George.

So after waiting about ten minutes for Harry to get on the line, he finally comes on and starts doing his talk down to me thing. Oh, if I could have reached through the phone to his neck. GRRRRRRR. This was before 12 by the way. so the guy tells me I have to do a total restart thing on my lappy, which means i am gonna loose all my stuff on my lappy. I have tried in the past to burn my info to a disk from this lappy, but it didn't work. I have a card reader that I don't know how to use, so that is of no use to me. OK, so all my info I had on my lappy, is gone in the airwaves. Crap. Oh well, it wasn't really important stuff. OK, so we start the total restart thing and halfway through, Harry tells me i need to purchase a tool to keep my lappy from crashing in the future! What the F! And it was 49.00. so i said no, I will return my lappy when this is finished. If it isn't safe, or the same condition i bought it, i don't want it. this guy is still a total jerk. I'm sure he still is since yesterday.

so back to Costco i go, with my lappy all packed up in its original box. they took it back at no charge or problem. When i looked behind the counter, there stood another box of a lappy just like mine that had been returned that day, before me. But I got another lappy, upgraded of course. this one has a built in Cam, laser mouse, and a card i plug into the side i think to watch TV on. I don't know how to use this, so i will have to open the book that comes with this lappy. I am a Little happier now. Not as frustrated as i was. I want to cam with someone just to see how this cam works. But no strangers, no more of that. to them, I still do not have a cam. pervs.

OK, today Alex goes home. We still have to get him up and packed. We bought him some resupplies, as we usually do, and now it has to fit back in his two suitcases. If it doesn't , i will ship it to him. I am off to get myself ready to say good by to my baby one more time.

see ya ll later, and have a great day.

Entry for March 30, 2007

It s Friday Yippeee. Once a week we get a Friday. Isnt it great we get that to look forward to every Monday. How horrible it would be if we only got a Friday once in a while. but once a week, how lucky are we!

John went and picked up Alex from the airport on Wednesday night. I didnt go with im cus i didnt know what time they would get back. They frown on us being late at work, even if it is the middle of the night. So I called when I knew they would be near to home. sometimes i love cell phones. They were about 40 minutes away, I would wait as long as i could before I would be late. At 11:25 i heard the truck pull up and opend the garage door to see my baby boy. I miss my boys so much. Anyway, there he was. All tall and handsome and clean looking. He changed his style of clothing. No more loose pants hanging just an inch too much for a moms taste or even a ratty t shirt. Nope, he was looking clean and nice. I gave him a hug and grabbed my lunch and ran. They made it in time for me to see my baby before i went to work.

On thursday I got home from work, and they were at teh dentist. I make his appointments for when he is going to be home. I had to wait a little longer to see my baby again. When they finally got home, I was informed that John and Alex were going to lunch and i could take a nap. They would be home by two. OH HELL NO! I am going too. they go to a Basque restraunt about an hour away. It is a ritual the guys do when one of my boys come home. I dont usually go, cus I thought it was all lamb, and eeeewwwwww. I cant do that. But I went, and had chicken. No nap for me. I ended up falling asleep on the couch in the afternoon for a while.

Alex is going to Santa Cruz with a friend for friday and saturday. We will have a brakfast of waffles and bacon before he leaves. I just want to see his face for a minute every couple months. It seems like a minute, then he is gone again.

Ok, that is all I have. He did bring home his laundry. the first time in two years. I better get that done. And maybe go back to sleep. I woke up at 430 this morning. crap. why cant i sleep at night like most people. grumble nod, snore gooood night

Windy Weather

BRRRRRRRR! and Shiver too. Oh stop laughing at me. I know all you east coasters are saying "where is your sun now?" Well, we go through this very year. It gets hot, then it might get real cold again, then it gets hot again. last week end, we were in shorts(not me) short sleeves and enjoying the spring sun. It was wonderful. then the temps dropped to the 70's and now I think the 50's. I had to put on a coat for cryin out loud. Well, yesterday I woke up and went out to the garage and heard this gurgling sound. I was like" What the heck is that?" it had rained! it was actually cold. It snowed 12 inches in Tahoe. That is far away from us, but it is still close enough to say it snowed in our general area. We are supposed to have a bigger storm today, that is what one of the girls at work said last night. We will see. We need the rain in any case, and it cleans the dirt and pollin out of the air. We welcome rain at this time of the year.

There really isnt a whole lot happening here. I am going to relay something that happened last night. Some guy from Turkey or some far away country pops on my page and says hi, asks to talk, the usual, how old are you, married or not, bla bla bla. Ok, so I am half reading his comments while I am reading blogs and trying to catch up, as usual. this kid tells me he is 17, just a baby in my opinion. He asked me to photoshare, I figured it would be safe, he is just a kid, what would a kid do to make me use the Handy Dandy Ignore button. WELL, LET ME TELL YOU ! Now I dont trust kids either. he shows me pic of him, like a high school pic, then a pic in a jacket or something, then a pic of his well, pants area. Oh crap, bink IGNORE. ALL GONE. That would be all I need. to have some guy from 20/20 or what ever show tht is that catches men going after kids. i dont usually plug in my cam or photo share with anyone I dont know. now I have to watch out for purvy kids. How disgusting.

I think I am ready for a Thursday Thirteen. I want to look up some pics to go with it. There is a reason I dont do those things. Its because I get all caught up with the whole now I started it and i have to continue to do it. What if I miss a thursday? Waht if i can only think of nine or ten things of whatever. I turn into a spaz. I wig over these silly things like I am expected to do it every week no matter what. See, do you see a little bit of Lisa Spaz here. I do. OK, on that note, I am going to crawl off to bed and set the tv timer for an hour. Im off to schnooz land. See ya all later.

Sunday kind of stuff

I woke up today with a slight headache. I might have to do with the bottle of wine I drank last night. I seems I am making this a habit on Saturday nights. As long as I am not driving anywhere, I guess its ok. Its not every Saturday night actually, its about every other. A girl has to relas and give in sometime. John made dinner again yesterday. OMG it was good. BBQ chicken for me, steak for him, and shrimp for both of us. I dont care for steak, so dont think he is cheating me, I prefer chicken. he also made portabello mushrooms with onions and french bread. It was a fab dinner.

I keep forgetting to tell you al this. John enjoys feeding the birds that come to our yard. He is particularly fond of the doves. Well, a pair od them have made a nest on an old entertainment center outside on our patio. The female laid two eggs a few weeks ago and they both took turns sittng on them. John could see what was going on in the nest, he is 6 feet tall. I am 5'3", so I have to see what i can see if I jump. It is really cool to seethem whan they change places. It taks about three seconds for them to change, one to hop off the nest, and the other to hop on. Anyway, they other day the eggs hatched. I saw a fuzzy little head pop up the other day. Yesterday I saw the little head agin, and they are starting to grow their feathers. Still very small, but cute. We were chattin with Bear and Katie at the time. I had the cam on and was showing them our sunshine, when John pointed the cam at the nest. The was the bvest I have got to see them. It was so cool. I am looking forward to watching them as they grow. We can walk just a few feet away from them as they sit int he nest, and they dont even move. I am loving this, and feeling very fortunate for this opportunity.

A few weeks ago, again was talking to Bear, when john started to comment on our conversation. Adding his little quips here and there. I was in the livingroom, John was in the kitchen. They are seperated by a hlf bar/counter thingy. Anyway, I kept telling john to comeinto the livingroom and talk to Bear himself instead of making me repeat what he wanted me to say. finally, John got a little closer to the lappy, and started peaking for himself to the fiesty Bear. Tehy made friends, i think. It was kinda fun to watch John talking to the laptop. hehehehehe. Anyway, they got to talking about different things and the conversation went to Johns favorite subject, alcohol. John ask what bear and katie likes to drink, Port. He told them he would get them a bottel of Californias best, that we could afford, and ship it out to them. He is pretty good about keeping his promises. So he bought a bottle of what he thought was good and I sent it out. Turns out, cali wine is a bifferent from east coast wine. This was fun. Im gald they enjoyed it. I know they did, they told us.

I have decide I am going to try to do the Thursday thirteen thing. I am going to put lists together in my documents file and copy them when I get a whole page done. that way i will have some ready. I must have 13 things of different things to write about. I will give it my best shot. this may be the closest i get to doing something on here tht is passed from blog to blog. I cant seem to be able to do the other cut n paste things. So I will try this.

Ok, I am done for today, I guess. Oh, I want to let you know. I have been worn tot he bone latley when I get home from work. That is why I am not around much latley. Tired takes over, and that is all she wrote. So, see ya later. Dont work to hard, Im really gonna try hard not to.

Friday, and some kinda bad news

Hi everyone! I know I have been gone for a while, not really gone though. Just too freakin tired to even blog. I jump on, read email every other day, and go to bed. I bunch of different stuff has happened this week. Ok, found out last night I wont be going to first shift. the person that took the bid decided she couldnt do it, and she will be going back to her first shift position. Oh well, thats how it goes sometimes. There will be another opportunity someday. I will go then. Until then, I will be happy I have a job and just continue to do the stuff I need to do. My time will come. And I will wait for it.

Last night also I pulled something in my shoulder. OMG it hurt so bad. I could barley move my shoulder or neck. If I tried to look over my shoulder tot he right while I was driving, I had ro almost turn my whole body, as much as I could. I had to go pick up my taxes, then I could go home. I wanted to cry, but I didnt. I came home, went straight to the shower and just let the water do its massaging thing on me. I took two pain meds from when I had my foot operated on, and went to bed. Even throught he pain meds, I still woke up when I moved. It feels a little better right now. I wont be doing any heavy lifting this weekend, thats for sure. Not that I do anyway. So Amber, that is where I was, passed out in bed.

Ive noticed most of the stuff on tv right now is repeats. I hate this part of tv season. New shows are put on and there seems to be an abundence of really bad game shows. Im not into watching game shows. right now, because there isnt anything else on and I just dont know what channel to flip to, Identity is on. It sorta reminds me of an updated version of Whats my line. OK, I cant stand it any longer, it is really stupid, food channel it is.

Our weather temps right now seem to be jumping around. We got a little rain this week, which cleared the air of all the pollin that seems to make people go sneeze crazy. WE should be getting more rain on Monday here in the valley, and even snow as far sdown as 3000 feet. This is the strange thing about our weather. It happens like this every year, and every year it seems people are just amazed we have a false spring. One time, we even had a freeze after we did our spring planting. This is life in the valley. When the sun decided to get here and stay, then we feel the full power of the sun. And it is killer.

Ok, now im just rambleing. I dont have anything else to say. so, until next time. Im gonna go see what you all had to say this week. I just hate it when I get too tired to stop in and say hi, but thats the way it goes sometimes.

Entry for March 20, 2007

Hi everyone! I dont have a whole lot to talk about today, but I fugure i will stop in for a while and see what drops out of my head. I have maybe good news. I wont know for sure, until two or three weeks, but I cant contain myself any more. I MIGHT BE GOING TO FIRST SHIFT! I will have to work tuesday thru Saturday until someone leaves that has higher seniority than me. that is ok, I will wait. That is my exciting news. I wasnt going to say anything until I knew for sure, but I just couldnt. this is me doing the happy dance. no music, just me dancing. Im happy.

Last night was the first dancing witht he stars. I sept through it, but it should have been on my DVR. I am so addicted to this show. I love watching the people dance. this year has a very, um, I dont know aboutthis group. We will see. The professionals are amazing to watch. I guess a lot of people are going to be watching to see if Heather Mills is gonna lose body parts. I know, Oh lisa how could you? Go back and read it again, thats how I could, just type and go.

I dont beleive this. When i am at work, or driving or doing something other than qwriting a blog, I can think of all kinds of things I want to put in a blog. But now, I am blank. So, on that note, I am going to sign off and watch DWTS. See ya all later

OK, its two hours later andI have watched DWTS. Heather Mills kept her leg on. I dont think she will make it to the end, but it is very hard to do the steps they are reqiuired to do, so OK, I will give her props for even doing it. The cast of caracters this season really is very diverse. the guy from cheers did a lot better than i thought he would. He is pretty light on his feet, not at all the Jerry Springer of last year. Thank God! The ladies did pretty good, as did the guys. Except for one of them..... oh waht was his name. Billy REy Cyrus. No, I dont think hes gonna make it. Then we got all the way down to Apollo OHNO. OH yes. That boy is worth watching. He is a cutie. They have a built in audience of young females as long as He is on the show. He has won 5 gold medals in the olympics, is training for dancing at he same time he is training for competition in skating. He is pretty good. This week ther was voting, but no voting off. Thatwill start next week. Eac h person gets to vote 11 times. Can you imagine that. That is where the lappy comes in. And, you can vote during the show, until I think an hour after it is over. This season will be good when the gotta goes are gone. I will be watching, and maybe even voting.

My spa day, and st paddies day

Once again, my short spa day was fantabulous. Really, you must hunt down a day spa and try it just once in your life. So this time, Renee put my hands in the hot parafin stuff. This is usually done in a manicure, but I guess I got a little extra this time. I love those. That is another thing you really have to do. Parafin for your hands and feet. OMG, along with a massage this makes them so very soft. It is wonderful. So the last time I had the full day treatment, I didnt get my makeup done. I had to go home and get to bed, so why bother. I had it done Friday instead.

It was the first time I ever had that done. they use very pricey products, I bought some really nioce foundation and a sponge to apply it. OK, I wont be doing that too many times. It would make my made up face very valuable, at the price of the make-up. It was fun though.

After that, I came home and caught Amber on line. It had been a while since we got to really chat, and we can chat for the longest time about not a whole lot, but we have fun doing it. That is what really matters, now isnt it. And BTW Amber, he laughed out loud and said dont even think about it. I thought john and I would go out for dinner, since we dont cook on Fridays, but we put together a light dinner, and I opended a bottle of a really good wine. I got it when we wentot Murphy's a few weeks back. It is from Zucca vinyards and is called Sangiovase Rosato. I am adding this link and maybe you can see where I got it from. www.zuccawines.com anyway, I drank the whole bottle. OMG. I cant beleive I did that, but it was just that good. I didtn even realise it was gone until i tipped the bottle and nothing came out. I think the bottle was defective. There must have been a hole in the bottom. No headache the next day though. Yum, good stuff.

So yesterday we decided to go try some wine at our favorite place. We ended up buying too much wine again and also a bottle of roasted garlic olive oil. John really likes to do the olive oil thing. We want to go have a day of olive oil tasting. That would be different. there are so many different flavors.

Anyway, we decided to stay for the dinner that Maccia was giving. Again, it was a little pricey, but it was good. Dinner was served in an old concrete wine vat. The walls are about two feet thick, it echoed so loud in there that it was hard to hear anything. It was that or corned beef, and well, why not. We did win a prize because John had a clover sticker under his plate. It was a t-shirt. I dont wear t shirts and it isnt Johns size. maybe i will give it to someone. Its kindsa cool, black with white lettering that says The Zin, Dangerous. That is the name of one of the zins they sell. Look at www.macchiawinery.com. they have a great winery.. A different wine was served with each cource of dinner. Needless to say, I was the driver so I didnt taste all the wines. It was jsut better that way. I took some pics, I have to go put them in here from the other puter. I got a good one for Bear. HUH? Anyway, we got home at around nine, I was way too tired to do anything but fall out. So that is what I did.

Today, we had breakfast and my sister came over. It was a more relaxing day. We all need those too. OK, have a great week.

Yea! I get to really blog again

Main Photo

I am fianlly done with that story, so I can get back to posting regular stuff. I really miss it. I didnt think the story would be that long. For those of you that read it and enjoyed it, thank you. Dont know if I will do that again. It began to really bore me. I wanted to write the story out of my head ands move on.

Anyway, what has been goin on here? Not a whole lot really. I am going for a facila today. I cant wait. Remember the last spa day I had. This si just a small piece of that. It last an hour and half. OH YUM. Then I get ot get my makeup done. I was supposed to get it done last time, but I had to go home and go to bed, so why waste the makeup. This should be fun. I love being pampered, I think everybody should do it once in a while. they are there, you just have to find them. Look for Day Spa in the yellow pages. Even if you have to go to the next town over, Its worth it.

I dont know if any of you saw the big tressle fire that started yesterday in Sacramento. It is a huge fire and it spread really fast. So far, no one has been hurt in the fire, our firefighters are doing a great job. anyway, when they show the smoke from the fire, it is so strange. It goes straight up, then it reachews a point int he sky and then goes straight over. It is really strange. If you see a pic of smoke on the top of this page, I was able to find one and steal it. As you know, I still dont know how to do a lot of stuff on here. but I can do other stuff, so I dont wig. Main Photo

Yesterday I had a destist appointment. It was a deep root cleaning. Dont know if you have ever experienced this, but really try not to. Brush, floss, then brush again. I am not the best at the flossing thing. I could save myself a lot of greif if I would just do it. they gave me shots, which always brings tears to my eyes, just because I hate them so much. I tense up, and that makes it worse. they only did half my mouth, but that was enough. I finally got home at about 12 30. I was so tired, I think I was sleeping before I hit the bed. When i did finally wake up, my mouth was so sore. I didnt have to go to work last night though, so I got relax more. I had a headache that wouldnt go away. It sorta sucked.

I am going to try and clean my house before I go to the spa today. that would help clear up my time for this weekend. So, I guess i better get going and get started. The weekend is here, have a great one.

The End, finally

Samuel hung up from his mother and sat down to think. Now he knew who he was dealing with. He just had to figure out how to make him go away. He started talking to him, but not in a kind way. He told him this was not his house any more, he couldn’t control his family any more, he wasn’t alive any more. Samuel got up and threw a vase that had been sitting on a table through the plate glass window. He was mad. He was going to destroy anything that made his family uncomfortable or unhappy. If that meant destroying this house one piece at a time, that is what he would do. He was going to destroy everything until his uncle of his own name left the house and his family.

All these years, they had lived in terror of the circumstances of this house. No more, this was the last night his uncle would live in this house as a spirit. He would do everything he could to make him leave. Samuel was also mad because no one had ever told him the secrets of this house. He could have avoided this whole thing and lived a normal life, like everyone else. But this is how it was going to end. It was a battle with a dead uncle, and he was going to win.

Samuel spent the next day talking to his dead uncle, and telling him to leave. He went through he house destroying things, making messes, breaking glass. He left everything just the way it was. He knew this is what made his uncle mad, but his uncle had to go. As this battle went on, his uncle fought back by try hurt Samuel. Samuel didn’t care though, he was willing to die to protect his family. He didn’t know his uncle very well before he died, and now he didn’t care for him at all. Samuel was ducking pictures as they flew off he walls, and trinkets that flew across the room. He would last this battle as long as his uncle wanted to fight. He was crazy with anger at the dead man.

Samuel avoided the kitchen and den, he knew he could be seriously injured by the potential weapons in those rooms. As the fight went on, he yelled at his uncle to leave, get out of his house and never return. The house was being destroyed. Holes were being punched in walls, and the floor was taking all the abuse of the falling objects. Samuels wife and children had spent so many hours keeping this house in perfect condition, and now it was torn apart. The rooms that had previously been set up in the most perfect places, were now in a state of total disarray.

Vanessa would be scared to death to see the house in this condition, but it made Samuel feel relieved. The more that was destroyed, the better he felt. He broke the other plate glass window, and watched the glass shatter to the ground on the outside. He would make sure no one else ever saw the horrible things that had been seen in these windows. No one would be scared of his family again. No one would feel threatened by what they saw when they looked in the windows of this house.

After tearing the house apart on the inside for more hours than he was aware of, Samuel finally felt exhausted. He was spent from fighting for so many days. He hadn’t slept more than a few hours at a time and hadn’t ate since his wife and children left. Samuel sat down in the nearest chair that hadn’t been totally destroyed. He started to fall asleep, when the lamp came hurling across the room at him. He reach up and grabbed it with his last bit of energy, and threw it back in the direction it came from.

When he did this, he felt the energy leave the room. It went dark, and the room got cold. A loud wind seemed to blow through the whole house. Then the house went silent. Nothing moved, not Samuel or anything else in the house. It was still for the first time in many days. Samuel closed his eyes, just to get some rest for a moment, he was too tired to go any more. He decided if he was going to die in a battle with a dead man, he would go now, at least he knew his wife would never return to this house. Not if he died in it, and she would never have to know what went on while she was gone.

When Samuel opened his eyes again, it was dark and he didn’t know how long he had been asleep. He was surprised he even woke up, he thought for sure his uncle would have killed him while he slept. He looked at his watch, and realized it had been ten days since his wife had drove away with the children to a safe place. He missed them and wanted to call to say he was still alive, but didn’t want to take the chance of this quiet being a false alarm. He knew his uncle was a mean spirit and would stop at nothing to get his house back in order, the way he wanted it to be.

Samuel was bloody from being hit with the objects that adorned his once lovely home. These things that he and his wife had so carefully picked out from store shelves and tag sales. These same items are what was used to threaten him to return the house to its perfect condition, with each item in just the perfect spot, facing just the perfect direction, at all times. They all meant nothing now. They were just things that could be replaced, if they had to. He had to have his family back.

Samuel got up and went to the bathroom on the first floor to wash up. He was still leery of going into the kitchen where the knives were. He cleaned up as much as he could and walked out of the house and down the street to the deli in the shopping center. He didn’t know when the last time was that he ate, but he knew he was hungry. As he left the house, he could hear things start to move around inside the house again.

Samuel stopped when he heard this start again. He was insane with rage and hunger at the same time. He took a pack of matches out of his pocket, went back to the house, struck several matches and threw them at the base of the house, right by the gas main. Then he turned and walked away, one last time.

As he approach the deli, he heard a loud explosion and it almost knocked him to the ground. He was surprised it took this long for the house to explode, but he calmly walked into the deli and ordered a sandwich. He then went and picked up a soda and a bag of chips, and chose a table to wait. As he did this, he heard the sirens of the fire engines roaring past. He knew they were going to his house, and he hoped they would be too late to save the building. He wanted it burned to the ground, along with everything inside. Samuel sat and quietly ate his first food in days, while the local fire department tried to save his house.

After he ate, he called Vanessa and told her all that had gone on. He really didn’t remember everything, just that he thought the whole mess was solved, and now he had to go talk to the fire department. He would act like he didn’t know, start crying and say how many memories were lost in this house. Then he would have to start over. Buy a new home, new furniture, new memories. And he would do it happily. It would all be worth it to be rid of the torment they had endured for the last nine years. Samuel smiled as he turned and walked away from the charred mess that was his home.

Happy Birthday to Katie

Hi all. As you may have heard, this is a very important day. Yes, today is Katie Day. (music starts playing in the backgroaund) Katie was born 29 years ago. Her mother was absolutly thrilled to have her, she was the most beautiful baby any mom could have. Katie grew up with some other family of cource, but they didnt matter, it was all about Katie. Just Katie. When any holidays rolled around, and they always did, Katie was the star of the day. Everyone wanted to be near her, cus she was more fun than some of the creepy kids in the neighborhood.

Well, Katie grew up and became a very famous Bank Lady. Awwww Yess, We all dream of being bank ladies when we are growing up. But Katie did it. She started out small, but as the days and weeks went on, everyone wanted to see her at the bank. The other bank people, they were just people, not Bank Ladies, like Katie, all had empty lines. But not Katie. OH no, Everyone went to Katies Line, cus she was the best, and she kept candy on her counter.

Katie worked like this for a very long time, keeping all the customers to herself. She didnt have to try, it just happened that way. Everyone just loved Katie. Then one day, Katie was tired and wanted to go on vacation. The other bank people were so excited, that Katie would be gone for a while, and the customers would go to them. Then maybe they could try to be a Bank Lady like Katie.

They were so sad to find out no customers showed up when they found out Katie wasnt there. The other bank people wernt as nice as Katie, and none of them kept candy on their desk. Nope, none. So they stood sadly and quietly until the Happy and revitalised Katie came back to her desk.

One day, Katie was talking to someone on the computer. She really did enjoy this, and she met the nicest people. She never told anyone she was a Bank Lady, she wanted to be like everyone else for a change, and she really liked this. It was fun. She met a guy on the computer and he had a real name, but he called himself bear. Katie didnt quite know what to think of him, but he wouldnt leave her alone until she agreed to talk to him. Katie finally agreed, and her and this guy named Bear became vary good friends. They talked and talked for hours. One day they decide to actually meet. We know where the story goes from there. Katie ended up chasing the Bear around keeping his ass out of trouble and Bear got the best part of the deal.

Happy Birthday Katie. I hope you have a wonderful day.

And that is the front of the quilt I am making

No, Samuel was going to correct this problem this time. He liked this neighborhood, his neighbors, and his new friends. He wanted his girls to grow up here and play like normal little girls. He wanted hi wife to be able to visit with her new friends. He wanted to be a part of this normal town.

As Vanessa, Carol, and Sharon chatted, Vanessa called the girls down to see the baby. Melinda and Mandy seldom were able to be around babies, since they were in the house all the time. They never got to smell that special baby smell or even hear one cry. Vanessa wanted them to see the baby for a little bit, just so they knew there was something else beside this house. This was a live baby, not like the dolls that sat so neatly in a row on their shelves.

The girls were so excited to see the new baby, and this made Carol happy. She loved to show off her baby to other children. Carol just loved to be around children. They made her happy. Watching Vanessa’s twins get excited about her daughter made her want to laugh, but she was still a little nervous about what she saw in the window. It was very un-nerving to look at a reflection, and not see her baby. She couldn’t shake the feeling something was wrong with this house and the family.

Carol and Sharon stayed and visited for about an hour before they had to leave. It was getting late, dinner had to be started, homes had to be run. They didn’t want to take up all of Vanessa’s time. Carol felt better as they left, and wanted to tell Sharon everything she saw. She never got a chance before Samuel saw them and invited them in the house. Sharon too was wondering what had scared Carol so much just before Samuel had called to them.

As they walked back home, with Carol pushing the stroller holding her baby, Carol explained what she saw in the window. Again, her heart started to race, just remembering it. She explained how both her and Sharon looked thinner, but the stroller was gone. Then, she noticed as soon as Samuel came out of the house, the reflection was back to normal, the stroller was there again. At that point, Sharon told Carol about the time she saw her reflection. She explained how she looked so much thinner, and just thought it was from the strange glass. They both wondered then at the same time out loud why there were no curtains on the windows inside the house. Sharon wondered if Samuel was watching as they walked by, and came out of the house when he noticed something wrong. Both ladies decided they didn’t want to go back. They would take the long way to the park and avoid walking by the strange house. They agreed not to tell their husbands, they for sure would think they were crazy.

Inside the house, Samuel informed Vanessa about his desire to correct this problem. He couldn’t take it any more. His family had suffered too much because of this house. He took Vanessa outside and away from the house to the back of the yard. He was scared to speak inside the house, for fear of what might happen. The girls were upstairs in their room, reading or studying. They were safe for a short time by themselves.

Samuel told Vanessa he wanted her to take the girls to her mothers house. He wanted her to stay there until he called her to come home. Make up some reason why she needs to stay away from home, but please don’t come home till she is called. Samuel was going to do what ever he had to do to stop the house from running their lives. He had to fix it now, before it got worse, and the people were scared again. He told Vanessa not to pack a bag, just put the girls in the car and go, before anything is noticed.

Vanessa was happy, but scared to hear what Samuel just said. She knew this is what she had to do. Calmly she went back into the house and up to the girls room. As she opened the door, she said” girls, its warm today, lets go get an ice cream”. This was a special treat the girls seldom were offered. They must have been extra special good when the ladies were here. They got up, and quietly walked downstairs and out the door. Vanessa got in the drivers seat, and the girls jumped in back. Samuel walked out with them, and told Vanessa to bring him a vanilla shake, then gave her a wink and a kiss and they drove off.

Samuel walked back inside, knowing his wife and kids would be gone for more than a few days. He would miss them terribly, but things were getting out of hand, and this is what had to happen. Samuel didn’t know why the house was like this. His aunt never said, and neither did anyone else. This would be the end of this terror for his family.

As he closed the front door behind him, he felt a small quake in the house. OK, it was going to start right now, it was going to be a battle. Something in the house was controlling him and his family, and he was ready for battle. He walked through the house saying how his family was gone, and would be until he called them back. He spoke every word loud and clear, so what ever it was, would realize this was ending here. No more. His family wouldn’t be a slave to this house any more.

The house started to creak, and picture flew off the walls. It was going to start small, but Samuel knew something or someone was going to be hurt in the end. He was hoping it was the house, and not him. He cursed his aunt for not telling him about this when he agreed to take the house. Eight years they had endured the stress of this house. Eight years his wife and children had spent inside cleaning and making sure everything was always right. As he walked through the house, he moved things just a little, dropped things on the floor, and dared the house to hurt him. He would do what ever it took to make his family safe and happy again. He was ready for a fight.

For four days, Samuel stayed in the house. He never called his wife, although she called him once to say they had arrived at her mothers and were going to stay until he called for them. She had taken the girls shopping for cloths, and they were having a great time. Her mother hadn’t seen the girls for too many years, and she was thrilled to have them. Vanessa told her they were doing some remodeling, and it was dangerous with the girls. They were having a great time, but Vanessa was worried about Samuel. She knew he would fix the problem before they got home.

Samuel called his mother on the fourth day of him being alone in the house. He had never spoken to her or anyone about what happened here. He had to find out what it was, and why it torments the occupants. His own mother refused to come over, but she never would say why, she just always had a reason why she couldn’t visit. That was actually fine with Samuel, he didn’t want to put her through any unnecessary trauma. He didn’t know what would happen with her in the house. Hearing his mother voice after four days alone made him feel a little better.

His mother told him about his uncle who lived there many years ago. He was a very demanding man who abused everyone. He was mean to his wife and children, and mean to all the people around him. His mother cried as she told him how he would say horrible things to the neighbors, just to keep them away from his house. He was a very selfish man, and no one liked him. He thankfully died before his wife, but she was very reclusive after he died. She wouldn’t come out of the house as often as she used to, and avoided the people who had been close to her all her life.

This story reminded him of his own family. It sounded to him like his uncle was still here. Samuel asked his mother why his aunt gave the house to him, and not to his own children. She said it was because he was named after his uncle, and this is what he wanted when he was alive. This is his way of staying in the house. Not his mother or anyone else had ever told him this before. Now he knew who he had to get out of the house. He knew who his enemy was. It was his uncle, who was just as mean alive as he is dead.

Samuel led Sharon, Carol and her baby to the house. Carol parked the stroller outside on the porch and picked up her baby, holding her close, still scared of what she saw. She knew what she saw, and she couldn’t get the image out of her head. She didn’t understand why she couldn’t see her baby in the reflection. This was all she could think of. She had seen her own reflection, and it looked thinner than she was, but she thought it was just the glass. Why would her baby not show up?

Samuel led the ladies into the house again, and called Vanessa. He showed them into the living room and made sure they were comfortable, then went for the lemonade. Vanessa had been polishing the banister, but since Samuel said they had visitors, she set her work aside and went to greet her guests. Vanessa had been thinking more and more of what it was like before the house. This time, she looked forward to visiting with Sharon and Carol. As she entered the room, she saw that Carol had her baby with her. This made her heart stop. It had been so long since she had been so close to a baby, 8 years. Her own girls were the last babies she was around.

Vanessa smiled as she greeted her new friends. She extended her hand, but really wanted to give the ladies a brief hug. There was something about this neighborhood that was different from the other ones they lived in. This one was friendly. The people here really wanted to be friends. They didn’t just stare. They were good people, and Vanessa was able to feel the difference. Her own feelings were changing and she liked it.

Vanessa happily sat down with the ladies and started a conversation. She wanted to see the baby, know how old she was, her name, everything. She knew Carol was upset about what she saw, although she hadn’t mentioned it. This was part of the house, it was what she had grown used to. Vanessa wanted to make the ladies feel comfortable, it might be hard this time, but she was going to try. She really liked her new found friends.

Samuel brought in the lemonade and then excused himself to work on the yard. He didn’t have yard work to do, but needed to be alone to try and figure a way to fix this problem. He recalled back to when he was given this house. His great aunt gave him this house in her will. The only thing was, he and his family had to live in it, no one else could. And it couldn’t sit vacant, they had to agree to live in this house, always. It seemed simple enough. Then they moved in, and their lives changed shortly after that.

First it was small things. They would find their furniture moved to a different location in the house. Pictures would be hung on different walls, and small nick knacks would be moved around. If they put them back where they wanted them, they would return back to the new location. Samuel and Vanessa finally gave into this and left the items where they were moved to. They didn’t know how they were being moved, but no matter how many times they were put in a different spot, they would always be returned to where the house wanted them.

Shortly after that was settled, it was other little things. If there was a mess in the house, and not cleaned, someone would get hurt. It may have been a bump, or a small cut, but something always happened. This was more difficult to realize. After a party one time, they went to bed without cleaning everything, planning to take care of things in the morning. They both slept bad that night, and the mess they left turned into a disaster in the kitchen. There were broken dishes and glass all over the floor. Vanessa walked in the kitchen first, with bare feet and ended up with cuts on both feet. Neither of them heard the dishes break during the night. That was when they started to learn about the house. Everything had to be cleaned all the time. They couldn’t take any chances.

The next year they had their twins. They were very careful to make sure everything was always picked up. After they played with a toy, it was put away. If they needed a change or change of clothes, they were put in the correct place, all the time. Vanessa wouldn’t take any chances with her babies. Everything was always in its place.

Then the windows changed. This was the worst thing yet. Vanessa and Samuel were already stressed about what happened in the house. It was so hard to make sure everything was always right, but they had no choice. Now, people on the outside were being effected. Most didn’t know it was happening, they just thought it was an optical illusion in the glass. But it wasn’t, it was the house. Samuel had clear plate glass put in the house, but it turned to the mirrored type. He changed it s few times, and every time, it changed on its own. What happened then is what made them move so many times.

Just like what happened to Carol today, people started seeing things. The things they saw were sometimes small and insignificant, like Tom seeing his car look like new. It wasn’t new, but it was what he wanted, so he saw it. When Sharon saw her reflection smaller than she was, she wants that so bad, but it wasn’t real. These people don’t realize at the time what they are seeing. Most of the time, it is very small and has no lasting effect on the person. Then someone like Carol and her daughter will walk by. It is times likes this that make the family have to move so many times. Pretty soon, someone else will see something horrible, then another, ands possibly another. Then it gets dangerous.

Normally sane people started attacking Samuel, Vanessa and the girls. They think that the family has something to do with what they see in the windows. The fact is though, they don’t. They never have, but Samuel has tried to make it stop. Every time they move, he tries. He has put covers over the windows, only to have them ripped off and thrown across the yard. At one time, he put large sheets of plywood across the windows, only to have the city tell them they had to take them down. So far, everything he has tried has failed. He has to fix the problem this time. He has to find out how to make it stop.

Vanessa was starting to return to her old self. He missed the way they used to be, before the house was part of their lives. The house. They couldn’t even sell it. They had tried, a few times. It would sit, and not one person or family would even look at it. Samuel tried to set it on fire, but it wouldn’t burn. He was getting desperate. He wanted his wife and family back. He had to find a way to take control of the house and all it did. Samuel was tired of moving. Tired of moving the house. He couldn’t leave the house, and that is why they had to move the house when they moved. It was part of the rules of taking the house, and that rule couldn’t be broken. Samuel could give the house away, but it would just be the same thing for the next person.

Samuel thought for sure, the large animal shaped shrubbery would block the windows. He ordered it installed as soon as the windows were installed. The gate and fence was to keep people from walking up to the house. He loved this house, but it had issues. There was problems that came with the house, when he inherited. He was told what to expect in the days and years to come. He really didn’t understand what it all meant, until he and his family moved in nine years before. They had been trying to deal with this issue for that long. This had to be the last move, Samuel couldn’t take another move. Not now, not this year. He was going to correct the problem this time, once and for all.

Vanessa remembered what life was like before they got the house. They went out, visited friends, traveled. When the two ladies came over, it made her remember how much she missed having friends. She had fun that afternoon, and wanted to do it again, but she knew she couldn’t. She had to make sure the house was always perfect, it had to be dusted, and the floors always had to be clean. There was no way to relax, she found that out the hard way.

Vanessa especially felt bad for Melinda and Mandy. This house is all they have ever known. They too have never been able to have friends and go to play. They have never been able to have tea parties with their dolls or run screaming from a bug or a lizard in the garden. No, Melinda and Mandy also had to help keep the house in perfect condition. When they did try to play, and made a mess of some kind, bad things happened. They have seen other children play outside, and they often wonder what it is like. Secretly, both girls hoped to one day be able to play outside like other children.

It had been a few weeks since Sharon and Carol went to see the new neighbors. They both wanted to go back to the strange house, as if they were drawn to it. They both walked the neighborhood and took their kids to the park. When they walked to the park, they had to pass the big purple house. On one of these walks to the park, Carol was pushing a stroller holding her nine month old baby girl. Carol loved walking with the baby, it just made her feel good to get out in the fresh air. On this day, she happened to look past Sharon and toward the house. When she did this, she thought she saw two other ladies also walking the same path they were. When she turned to see the other ladies, they weren’t there.

Carols heart stopped. She looked at the reflection from the large strange windows again. She was actually seeing her own reflection, with Sharon walking beside her, but the baby in her stroller wasn’t there. She was much thinner, as was Sharon, but the baby was gone. Carol couldn’t take another step. She stood still and looked into the reflection and asked
Sharon if she saw the same thing, did she see the stroller. Carol was near tears now, even though it was only a reflection. She couldn’t understand how her baby was not in the picture presented in the reflection in the large pane of glass.

At that point, when Carol was breathing so hard, scared for her baby, Samuel walked out of the house and suddenly the reflection returned to show the baby along with Carol and Sharon. Carol started to tremble at the fear that was running through her head. Samuel seemed to notice something wrong and quickly went over to the ladies to make sure they were ok. Samuel invited the ladies to come into the house, have a glass of lemonade and get out of the heat. Surely, it was just the heat, some cool refreshments would help.

Then they were in the living room of the huge purple house. They wanted to see what was inside, and now they were totally shocked to see it was quite normal looking, much like their own homes. Samuel introduced Sharon and Carol to his wife Vanessa and two daughters and then they were invited to sit and chat for a bit before they had to start dinner. Samuel made tea, while his wife and the ladies talked in the living room. He was happy, things were going great, so far.

Vanessa, Sharon and Carol sat in the living room and talked and laughed about moving, raising kids, and family in general. They were all married, had kids, and loved to shop. It seemed they would be great friends, they already had something in common. It was nice getting to know the new neighbors and become friends. They would fit in just like everyone else here, and both Sharon and Carol couldn’t wait to have them over for a bar b que, or a swim party. The Kids were all the same age range, so they would al have a ready made group of friends. How perfect.

After about a half hour, the ladies left the new family, content that they had done a good thing, and started on home. They were happy to get to meet the new neighbors. As they walked home, they discussed the next time they would meet.

Back at the house, Samuel and Vanessa, ‘Mother ‘, went back to their normal routine. Mother hated being called Vanessa, and she also disliked having to say things she didn’t believe to her new neighbors, but she knew it was necessary from time to time. She hadnt been a very social person latley and preferred to stay inside the house taking care of her husband and girls. Samuel was the social person in the family, and Mother preferred it that way. He kept the outside world at bay just enough so that she could do what she wanted inside the house. The house required her attention, a bit more than she liked. At times it seemed to require all her time and attention. One day she hoped to have more time to herself.

Melinda and Mandy also seldom were allowed to spend too much time outside. They attended school and did as few outside activities as they could. Like their mother, they preferred to stay inside and help with the house. There was always something to do. They too hoped that one day the house wouldn’t need so much attention. Their father took care of the outside issues, and that was fine with them. He wasn’t very good at the house things that required so much attention.

Life went on in the neighborhood like it always had. People stopped being so curious about the house since Sharon and Carol had the visit. People went back to walking their dogs in the park and pushing strollers. Cars drove by and the big house just seemed to mesh in with the rest of the neighborhood. After a short time things seemed to resume like they had in the past. The one thing people did notice was the huge mirrored windows in the front of the house. They thought it strange to have mirrored windows, but tried to avoid looking into them as they walked by.

Although it was hard to avoid looking into the large windows, it still happened. One day while Sharon was walking her dog, she noticed her reflection in the glass. She was sure it was an illusion, but liked what she saw. Her reflection showed her about ten pounds thinner, something she had been working on for a while. She knew it was an illusion though, because she had not lost the ten pounds she had been working on for so long. She smiled and told herself this would be her secret. She didn’t want to tell Carol and have her laugh at her. Carol herself had been trying to loose extra pounds after her last baby was born.

One day Tom, the mechanic that worked at the local shop drove by the house and happened to look over at the house. He too noticed a difference in the reflection that he thought was an illusion. It was probably a bend in the glass causing the picture he saw to be so strange. When he looked, he saw his car that was dented and damaged totally repaired. It looked new. This picture made him happy, but he new it wasn’t true. It was just a bad reflection from the curves in the glass.

From the other side of the glass, Mother, the girls and Samuel watched. They had no curtains or window coverings, as they weren’t needed. This is how it always started, in every town. They tried to change things every time they moved, but they just couldn’t. Everything they tried failed. They knew what was going to happen next, in the next few weeks. They couldn’t do anything to change what was going to happen. So it happens, and then they move again. This time, they planted large shrubs in front of the house, hoping that would help. For some reason, the shrubs and the large fence have had very little effect on stopping this from happening again.
