Sunday kind of chat

Its sunday morning here at my house. I recorded the opening ceremonies on friday and watched it last night after dinner. I fell asleep then too after they started the parade of nations. I was totally blown away by the technology used to create that show. I would love to see that in person. that part when they had the boxes going up and down and creating all the different formations just threw me. the whole show was amazing. I have the olympics set to record but only on one channel. We watched the us beat china this morning in basketball, but that wasnt a recorded segment. I dont think its live, actually, I dont know what is live in this anymore. I just love watching these games and rooting for the US.

WE got up this morning to find one of the baby birds had fallen out of the nest and was laying lifeless on our front porch. There were three of them. I am hoping he didnt fall, but was pushed cus he may have been the weakest and was taking up space in the nest. this makes me feel better about seeing his little body and nature taking its course. They are so cute. there was one that kept standing up too close to the edge and showing off. I am hoping it wasnt him.

I am making a memory quilt for a lady at work with a patriots football theme. I ended up having to order the patriots fabric online and it finally arrived yesterday. I sent her a picture of the blocks, and now I am waiting to hear back from her. I cant do anything till she says which style she wants. this is the first time i have done a quilt like this, where I allow a person to figure out what they want. I usually just make it for them and they dont know the difference. I dont know if I will do this again. I just want to be done. and she wants it for football season. at this rate, she will have it next football season. lol

I think I may blow up my pool again and go for a soak one more time. I bought me a floaty thing, a tanning chair for the pool. I am still peeling from the last burn, it looks like I have a really bad case of leprosy.

I think that may be it for a while. see ya all later.

  1. I've been wanting to do a photo quilt. I haven't yet. I did buy a couple of how-to books for my daughter, she made one for her hubby in Iraq and it turned out nice. So, I'll have to give this a try.

Too bad about the birdy....awww...but yes..nature taking it's course is a great way to look at it.

I heard the opening games were fantastic! I didn't watch them. I am already tired of the olympics. I am not much of a sports fan!
