Very neat! What a great view you are getting! We had wrens that nested on our screened porch for years (until we finally fixed the screen) and while I couldn't see the nest, I loved having them there. It was so much fun to have the chirp all day, and once they were old enough to leave, we got to watch them as they found their way off the porch. I miss it now that they can't nest there anymore. Love the pics! Enjoy your feathered visitors! :)
What species of bird is this? I'm glad they survived and will be learning to fly soon, if they haven't learned already. I've never liked to see birds in cages. They should always fly and be free.
Very cute! Don't you find it interesting how the same breed of bird can build the same type of nest over and over again for hundreds of generations and it still looks the same? I took some pictures of the same type of bird here this summer and their nest looks exactly the same. Same color mud too which if you consider the type of climate we both live in must be hard to find the exact type of mud.
awwww what a cutie! We are enjoying having our friends birds for the week. It is so weird how they go completely silent when it gets dark!
