windy storm in Modesto

This is a short video of the storm that is blowing through the west coast right now. Its supposed to last a week. This morning there were trees blown over, electric poles blown over and rivers and streams running high. Wind gusts up to 50 MPH in the area. I know most of you that read this get feet of snow, but we dont get this kind of weather every year. Im not whining, just sowing you.

  2. I hardly ever get bothered by the rain, but high-speed, straight-line winds can be very damaging - especially when they turn into tornadoes. I know it's different for you out in Sunny California, but that's the kind of rain that I like to listen to on a lazy Sunday afternoon, reading a book and passing the time.

Curl up with your honey, close your eyes and enjoy the pitter-patter of happy little raindrops falling on your roof and windows. Put you right to sleep, I betcha.

  3. The winds can be disturbing for sure...if you've got rain with it then you've got an idea of what the east coast's tropical storms are like inland.. So I'd guess that although it's probably interesting because it's not your usual weather - it probably is going to become tiresome pretty quickly. I hope it doesn't last a whole week.
