That I have to do, but I have no idea how to do it. I was asked, or more like appointed, to make a slide show for the post for a 75th anniversary. I have never made a slide show, but i was told I could do it on powerpoint and add music. I have Vista, which is supposed to be made for doing stuff like this, but i have never used all the playing with your photos stuff.
I was going to use the pictures i have taken, add some from the guys at the post and then see if i could get some more from people that have been around for a while. I was thinking of doing a little history about the place and putting it in a small book form. Maybe getting some quotes and small stories from the beginning of the place.
There are all the military branches there, so I should be able to get some good info. I could do the book thing, its the slide show i don't know how to do. The ladies in the Auxiliary seem to think that because i take pictures out there, that I can create a slide show. I think they need to bring their expectations of me down a notch or two.
i haven't even tried making a slide show yet. maybe i can do this. If I do, i will post it here and you can tell me what I can do to make it better. IF i can figure it out. I may also ask for help from some of you.
OK, that's it for today. gotta go shower and hot he bed for a few zzzzzzzzzz's.
Oh.. in Vista? I know my son does it all the time.. but, he just played with it.. until he figured it out. You may want to run over to the library.. and get the Vista For Dummies.. (those book aides are GREAT!) and I'm sure.. you'll find all you need.. in there. I buy those books all the time!
ReplyDeletemaybe I will do that. I have an idea of what I want to do, I am just kinda holding off starting this project.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds to me like you've got the project well under control - at least you know what you want. And I know you have some technologically savvy friends that can certainly help you get it all together (not me though - I don't now nuthin bout making no slideshows Miz Liza.
ReplyDelete(kinda stolen from Gone With The Wind)....
Not sure it is on vista, but on XP there is the movie maker program. It works well too. You will have to play with it to figure it out though.
