wednesday post

Wednesday must be the day to post a new blog. I got on here just to check my mail, and everyone has posted something new. I guess i can follow the crowd and try to dump my brain on here. that usually consists of the things that rolled through it the previous night at work. or that will trigger things which make me think of something else which carries me somewhere else. So, here i go with the things that rolled through my brain last night.

There are a few everyday words that I just dont like. I dont know why, it makes no sense, I just dont like the way they sound. One of those words is blog. I know, what the hell lisa, isnt that what we are doing here? and you dont like the word? yes, its true. that word has no good sound to it, it reminds me of blob, and it just doesnt roll off my tongue very well. I prefer Post for doing what we do here. I tell people I have a blog page so they know what i am talking about, but the petty part of me doesnt like that word. I know, .............................

another thing, sometimes, quite often really, i read someone elses post and get inspiration from that. it triggers thoughts in my head that go from that post to my own. Like today, carol posted about having people pay to work in the yard while the whole time getting the muscle workout they really needed. this didnt trigger anything in my brain, i just like thinking about the young male gardners in my yard buffing up. of cource, there werent any of the middle aged flabby women like myself in my thought process.

But, em did write about fireflys. I have heard about these little critters all my life. I have never seen one though cus we dont have them here in california, that i know of. I feel like i am being cheated. i dont know if these little bugs have any other purpose than to amuse the humans around them. im sure bats  and other nocturnal animals find them tasty treats. I would just like to see one for myself. I think i would wait for night time just to watch them.

and finally, Amber is doing the cambrige diet. she has lost 40 pounds. I am proud of her. the best i do is talk about dieting. i hate that word. back to the word thing again. i keep thinking I will just look up the diet and try it to dispose of some of the fanny that follows me around. i even think i will grab the weights i keep by my front door and start walking again, but that is as far as I get. i work real hard at thinking about these things.

ok, there are my triggers for today. i wonder what the word trigger will generate for the ads on the side of this page. ok, see ya all later.

  2. I have to agree with you, the word blog is stupid.

Getting off subject... you're the first person to tell me they can't see the back button on my page. I'm wondering if maybe we have different browsers? I know my page was made with firefox in mind as is multiply in general. I use firefox so maybe that's why you're having an issue of hidden buttons? At any rate how about holding down your left mouse button and running your pointer over the area where the back button should be. It'll highlight the area to click on and you'll be able to go where you want.

  3. I am right there with ya, UCB! I don't like the word blog either! I also don't admit to meany peope that I do it! I think it is a very misunderstood word and sound horrible. When I say blog I think of log...which in itself is funny because a blog is a web log shortened to blog. Now is that good trivia or what?

Ooh...a young fit gardner like on Desperate Housewives. I will have to go over and read Carol's blog!

Thanks for all the support with my weightloss. I find dieting extremely hard too! Meeting you in Vegas and a 13 hour ride in a timy airline seat has really spurred me on!

Now that I have upgraded my multiply site (I am going to get rid of flickr) I can't see the ads anymore so you will have to tell me if it generated anything funny!

  6. I hoped there would be fireflies in Oklahoma- but I guess you weren't far enough east. They are worth seeing - but I think if I sent you a jarful they might not live long enough to light up for you - so I guess you'll just have to plan a trip out this day.

I remember the time back on 360 when you took a walk and we got pictures of it all - maybe you could do that again?

Or for that matter - just go looking for some of those buff young gardeners Carol is sending around and take pictures of them ;).

  7. one of the ladies i work with said she saw them at a lake here somewhere. Im gonna have t check into that a luittle more.
maybe i will do the walking picture taking thing again. the camera can be sorta weighty, does that count. and if i am searching for hunky gardners, i may have to walk a little further. all the gardners here are scrawny and kinda old that i have seen. none like the hunky guy on desperate housewives. lol

  8. I totally missed the firefly thing! I think after getting the idea of buff gardeners in my head I lost my way!

Fireflies are as thick as can be in Maine during the hot summer nights! They are so cool! Seeing a field lit up with them never ceased to amaze me.
