Weekend Ramblings

I have no idea what I am going to write here. I haven't written anything for a week, so it will probably be just rambling or what ever falls off my fingertips. I don't want you to think I have given up on the blog thing, Its just a dry spell in my brain. I am going to start with our current plans.

Next week we will be going to a fundraiser for the VFW hall that burned down. It has a pirate theme, so we went out this morning and rented costumes. Johns is like Johny Deps in Pirates of the Caribbean. I have one to make me a wench. I don't know if I will be serving food or what, but it should be fun. I will take pics of us together. and yes, I will even try to post them.

The following weekend we are going up to fort bragg again on friday night, then off to occidental for saturday night. We just don't like to stay home if we don't have to. That will be easter weekend. I know, why aren't we home, doing the easter thing. Well, we just don't have anyone to do the easter thing with. So it is a long weekend, and we are gone.

The following weekend, will be Casino night at work. It is actually a rewards and recognition dinner they have each year to thank the folks that do all the extra stuff. The them for that is formal, and I am gonna have to get me something to wear. It will be a really nice dinner then gambling. They bring in casino tables and give us fake cash to play with. In the other room there is a DJ and this year they are having ballroom dancing people. it is just for show, but it sounds like fun. OH, they even hired a magician to entertain us.

So it looks like the next few weeks are going to be busy. One of the ladies I work with asked me to help her make a quilt for her daughter. At first she asked me if I could make it, then I suggested she help and it would be done a lot faster. so I will be doing that probably in Friday mornings for a few weeks. It is a very simple pattern, so I don't see it going more than three weeks.

Ok, that is my agenda for the nest few weeks. I am looking forward to having something to do for the next three weeks. then we will probably veg for a while. I think we may go out to Oklahoma and see Alex this summer for a week, wait. That is another blog topic for another time.
