Merry Christmas Soldier

I have decided this year that I have enough. I am blessed to be fortunate enough to not want for much. If I do want something, I just go get it.  So I have decided to fill a box or two and send them to a soldier in Iraq. I have a list of items to purchase and three address;s to send them to. I will go to the post office and pick up a couple of those boxes made especially for this. I think its 14.00 to send one. When the company store opens, I will go in and pick up some stuff from there then hit the dollar store for some additional items. I was thinking of making a video and including it. I could tell the person how much we appreciate all that they do for us, maybe take a video of the guys at the post and try to get them to say something. I don't know, its just a thought.

If you would like to do something like this, let me know. I can get you an address and name to send it to. You cant just send it addressed to any soldier. anyway, this will make me happy this year. I have a leather jacket to be surprised with christmas morning. and my son will be home. what more can a gurl ask for. Life is good.

  1. God bless you!

I will be giving to my own sailor this year, and I thank God he will be home this year.

But God bless you for being willing to give to our men and women in uniform who are so far from friends and family and in harms way on behalf of others!

There is also a website where you can send as many cards to them as your fingers can stand to type. Let me know if you are interested in the URL.

Merry Christmas, from a Navy Mom!

  8. Carol, I have done the shoebox thing in the past also. I really had a lot of fun with that. Its funny how much money you can put into one show box. The first time I did that, I bought a photo box and made that the theme of the box, with a small disposable camera and stuff like that.
