Picture perfect weather

I took a couple pics of my backyard this morning to try and show you how beautiful it is here today. they didn't come out as pretty as the day is, but I will put them in my picture file and let you be the judge. Last night when we got home, I will tell you about that also, we sat out in the back yard for a while. We only came in cus the bugs were finding me fun to land on.

Its supposed to be in the upper 80's today. Oh, yes. Perfect for the weekend. Yesterday we saw a temp that said 86. This is just the way weekends are supposed to be.

Yesterday we packed the cooler with some snacks, and headed to the hills to replenish our supply. We decided to stop at this little biker bar and have a drink on the way up, just to kill some time. This place is so colorful, all kinds of really strange things on the walls, fun stuff to look at. John hada beer, I had a margarita. I think I am gonna give them up for a while. I keep getting heartburn when i drink them.

So after only one drink, we took off again. I keep bringing my camera, but I think I have shot everything already, so no shots of our day trip. We got to our destination, and the winemaker wasn't there yet. I always email him and let him know we need to come up. He tells us what time he will be there and it works out. Well, he got doing something at home, lost track of time, and he was late. Se we went on up the road about 45 minutes and bought my favorite wine. It was a one shop stop in Murphy's to get Sangiovesi Rosato from Zucca Winery. You cant buy this anywhere else, so it is worth it to go up there. I could have them send me some, but the drive is nice.

So we tasted the wines in the shop, and all were very tasty. Every time we do this I so wish Em was with us. She would be in wine heaven. Murphy's is a great place to go tasting. There are wineries all over the place, and they all are so different. You can park you car, walk up one side of the street, and down the other, and taste from 20 something different wineries. And best of all, the tasting is FREE. With cute little shops in between, you can be entertained all day.

We took off from there and headed back to the intended destination. This time he was there. We chat for a while with him every time we go there, and it is really a nice day. We bought a case of Champagne, two bottles of port, and two bottles of Zin. All very good. He had an appointment, and we wanted to go out to dinner, so we finally got out of there at 5 pm. It was such a beautiful day. We must have passed at least 200 motorcycle's on the road. I would have loved to have one, or maybe just a convertible. That is gonna be my next car, a convertible cruiser. yep.

Ok, I have rambled on for long enough. Look n see if I got the pics of the day posted in my photo album. I may go out and try to get a better shot. have a good week.

  2. Awwww - that was really sweet of you to think of me - it does sound like a wonderful time. We were in the 70s yesterday, but I guess Amber's jealousy had an effect because we are back down in the 50s now as well. I WILL make it out there to go winetasting one of these days for sure....

  4. Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! I am so happy that spring has arrived. The warmer temps really makes it fun to go do things outdoors again! At least until summer comes and it just gets too hot. Hope you have a great Monday! :)
