Friday Fodder

What Kind of car do You Drive

From the time we are kids and able to get our drivers licence, we start thinking about the car of our dreams. I used to play a game with my oldest son. We would see really cool cars as we were driving. We would try and find cars that I would look good in. We found some pretty cool cars. I would say Hey Anders( his name is Andy, but  call him Anders) look at that car, wouldnt I look good in it? And of cource, he would agree. I love my babies. We were picking out all kinds of cars, but none of them weould ever be mine.

MY first car was a lime green 71 Dodge Deamon. That heap of metal could fly. She was very heavy, probably the safest car I ever had. If I was ever hit, I dont think I would have felt it, too much.

Anyway, none of the cars I ever drove were actually mine. I owned them with my husband. That is not such a bad thing, but they werent mine. They wernt what I wanted, what I alone dreamed of, what the car of my dreams was. Those cars got me from here to there.

Then, Chrysler came out with the PT Cruiser( this is where we hear angels singing) and I saw the car of my dreams. I hadnt even seen the inside of it. I couldnt remember the name, I just knew it when I saw it I had to have one. It took me forever to remember the name of the car. I just knew it looked like and old style gangster car. I was in love with a car. Every time I saw one, I longed, yes longed, for a cruiser. I knew I would have one.

Finally, last year, February 13, my husband and myself went to the chrysler dealership and purchased my first brand new car and it was a shiney new red PT Cruiser. I just love my Cruiser. It is the base model, but it isstill the best car. And, it kicks ass over the mountains getting to Santa Cruiz to see my sisters. I was passing up fast cars, and looking rather smug as I was doing it. John wouldnt let me get  the turbo Version, I wonder why.

So, now tell me wht kind of car you drive and  does it fit your personality? Just wondering on this silly Friday Fodder day.
