This is some more pics of the memory quilt I made to give to the members of Post 3199 VFW in Modesto. They dont know that I did this.I am so very proud of this quilt. I put a sleeve on the top back to make it a wall hanging. the last pics are of the quilt I made to raffle off at the chili cook off on september 12.
I like this pattern does it have a name?
ReplyDeleteI just love the idea of a memory quilt! That is going to be so special to someone!
ReplyDeleteI love how you got some people to sign some of the squares. what a great touch!
ReplyDeleteIts huge!
ReplyDeleteWonderful deep blue color!
ReplyDeleteThis one is a gift to the post. to everyone at the post. you all probably dont remember, but the post was burned down a couple years ago. everything was lost. all the memories from ics thye had. all the thigns they used in parades. even the money that was left in the bar cash register. so this is a gift back to them, from me, when it is finally reopened.
ReplyDeleteit is called Ocean Chain. I got the pattern out of a book called "101 fabulous Rotery Cut Quilts". I bought this book at a store here called Joannes. It is a craft store. I know they have them in Washington. they have very reasonable prices on fabric and supplies. and it was kinda easy to make, just time consuming.
ReplyDeleteI liked that too. I bet those people dont even remember i asked them to do that.
ReplyDeletethat is where I buy all my stuff when I drive over the line. I love that place.
