I wish i had a picture to post up here from our weekend away, but they all got deleted accidently. Yes, i am sick about that, because i take a bunch of pics, anytime I do anything fun. Memorys you know.
the wedding was putside and the weather my ssister orderd to go along turned out jst as she requested. Perfect also. some said it cooled off too much in the evening, but John n I were fine, and if anyone was gonna be cold, it should have been us, coming from a much hotter climate. there was a seven piece jazz orchestra, and they were pretty good when they played, but they didnt seem to have a set arrangement. they had plenty of time to create one prior to the wedding, but I guess thay didnt think about that part. hmmmm.
The food was fabulous. Caterers walked around prior to the wedding with trays of stuffed mushrooms that just made you weant more and also kielbasa for he meat eaters in the bunch. For dinner, we had tritip and wasabi chicken.OMG THAT WAS GOOD. I didnt have the trutip, but the chicken was delish. All the meat was prepared on a giant bbq right there. They even had asperagus spears, but I didnt see them, so my brotherin law gave me one of his. I love asperagus. Everything was so fresh and tasty.
the yard was decorated in white and lavender and was heatd in the evening by those propane tall torch thingys. (that word has to pop into my blogs just about everywhre. ) we were also kept warm by a flowing supply of wine and spirits. Oh yes, it was a blast, and we danced. we probably sang too, but I dont remember.
the next day, we all waited impatiently for the newlyweds to return so we could open their gifts. I was not feeling so good( again, those free flowing spirits) and i also wanted to go home. finally they got there around noon, when they said they would. All the gifts were brouhgt outside and she proceded to start rippen. They got some really beautiful stuff. I couldnt wait for here to open the quilt, and finally she did. It is really heavy, so she couldnt take the wjole thing out of the container, but they both really loved it. she said it would match her room perfectly. stuff like that makes it worth it to do stuff like that. They also got a stack of gift cards, the latest in easy gifts. They really are practical though.
We left after. I slept all the way home, and then after we unloaded the car and had a light snack, I had to go to bed again so I could go to work and feel a little better. Well, that was our latest weekend.It was really a lot of fun and I just love being with my family. They are so important to me. I feel fortunate to have a family that has fun together and enjoys spending time together.
