I was going to put this in a blog, but I decided to put it here instead. On Tuesday I think I was, John told me I got a package in the mail, and I needed to get up and open it. What a pleasant surprise I had to find crab cakes in the box with a note from the Divine One. We had a conversation while she was here discussing the difference in east/west coast crab. We cooked up a couple of them and I loved them. I have never had crab cakes, so these were my first. OH YUMMMMMMMMM! We have two more to cook up, and I cant wait. John wants to have them with a nice steak, so for now they are waiting for us in the freezer. Thank you so very much Em. We will definatly have to head east to sample more of the east coast fare and visit with you again.

  1. If you get Schwan's products.. you can buy them frozen.. all the time! Just google Schwan and you'll get the toll free number.. whenever and WHEREVER we move.. I always call.. place an order.. and that's how I get delivery started. Love their products.. been buying from them for over 25 years now. From Montana, to Kansas, to Maryland.. to Texas! They are EVERYWHERE! Anyhow.. their crab cakes are pretty good.. used to buy them in Maryland.. though.. I will say.. there was a greek place we liked to go too.. that made them BETTER! lol

  2. You are welcome.......Like I said on the phone - those came from a place a few miles away and they are (in my opinion) the best crabcakes in the world - maybe even better than mine, in fact. I'm glad you liked them, and when you come east they will be even tastier because the crabs are fuller and sweeter in the summertime. And like John - I often have one with a steak...both of which will be ready and waiting for you when you do head east:).
