Little of this, little of that

I really should be sleeping. I have to go in at 10 tonight but i layed down at 5 and tossed till 630. its just too frustrating trying to get to sleep after so long like that. i just got up and kinda got halfway ready. took a shower and will make my lunch, coffee for john in the morning and his lunch for tomorrow. i will probably get to come home anyway if i want, i will sleep then.

i wrote a blog this morning, had it all ready to post, was hitting the save and publish button and all of a suddon, it was gone. all that was left was the title that I put in last. I usually do that last cus I never really know what in gonna say here till i get it all done. I found out that john was on the other puter and was having problems. he kept trying to correct it, but it wouldnt work. so, he did what we have to do every once in a while, turn off all the power to the thing and do a total restart. that usually fixes the problem. it did today also, but it also turned off the internet connection to my lappy, which deleted everything i had written. oh well.

all i said was that i got my hair cut, dyed and my bushy brows waxed. I had been thinking about having it done, my hair had grown out so much since the last big cut. the lady that cuts my hair also moved to a shop closer to my house too. now she is right around the corner in the shopping center. how cool is that.  she also told me i get a senior discount if i go in monday through thursday of ten dollars. woo hoo, this is the first discount i have had since i turned fifty. it just keeps getting better.

I found out the nest outside my door has three chicks in it. I was able to see them saturday morning as their mom was feeding them. they sure are noisy little babies. I kept trying to get a pic of them, but none came out very clear. i knew what i was looking at, but it would have just looked like a bunch of nest pics if i put them up. I have to take the pics through the screen door. if i open the door, she flys away. they are too small for me to get too close. I will keep trying though.

John and i have a 24th anniversary coming up in two weeks. we are going to occidental for the weekend. Probably stop in Sonoma for lunch and then Sebastipol and get some apples. they grow the best apples there, the right combination of cold wet weather and just enough heat. that is where i got those pink apples last year. john loves apple pie and i dont mind making it for him really. I never have to cook, so if he wants me to bake him something, i am happy to do it. Yes, you read that right, i dont have to cook. I am just a little spoiled, but so is he.

ok, i better start to get my stuff done. lunches, coffee what ever. hope you all have a great week.

  3. Do folks in California heat their apple pies with a slice of Kraft American Process Cheese on top? MMmm. It seems to be a regional thing around this neck of the American woods. Just curious.

  4. um no. I cant even imagine putting a slice of cheese on an apple pie. I think I have heard of it, but didnt think people really did it. each to their own I guess.
