Woo Hoo, I think I did the Photo Bucket thing right the first time, all by my self. I like to celebrate my smallest victories. Anyway, here are a few of the pics i took at the cook off.
This is Don and John. Don is in the Safari hat and John is in the camo hat, but you cant see him cus he is wearing camouflauge. hehehehehehe.
I dont know how this turned out like this, but i like it. I love the purple in it
I thought I grabbed the pic with all the prizes in it. there was more than you see here. I have to tell you about that. OMG
I just thought this guy was hot. Yummy. He also won sencond place for best chile and first place for best decoration. Yep, yummy
The band. They were pretty good
OK, John was given a bunch of tickets to sell. He doesnt like to do that though, so he just buys them himself. He figures it shis donation to the VFW. That is Veterans of Foriegn Wars for those of you who dont know. a hmmmm, I dont assume anything any more. Anyway, when you get there, you pay one dollar for a tasting kit. The kit comes with a spoon, a cup, and a napkin. You also get a whit ticket to vote on your fav chile, mine was the yummy guy. And you also got a red ticket for the raffle. I gave my ticket to John to turn in for me, cu i didnt know where the wheel was. I didnt know this, but John wrote my name on both of the tickets. So they start the raffle and they give away a few prizes. Tehn the guy starts talking about this knife. and John says he saw that kinfe and he would love to have it. They pull a ticket and call Lisa Carlson. Oh my God, I cant beleive that. And i started laughing at the coincidence. so in a few minutes, they guy says I have this filet kife, very nice bla bla bla. Again, John says wow, that is a nice knofew too. I could sure use that. and the guy calls, Lisa Carlson. I look at John in total amazement. I really was shocked, cus I never put my name on a ticket. Then they call my sisters name. I go up to get that. I was getting embarrassed. I guess it was jut ourt day to win. it really was a nice day though. There was a light breeze, and no one drank too much. It was more of a family event this year instead of a drinking free for all like in years past.
Anyway, thats all for now. See ya ll later.
