Happy Valentines Day

If you are reading this, it is Valentines day. Some of you may have received flowers, chocolates and maybe even jewelry, if you are really lucky. John told me he bought me something, but it is in the refrigerator And I cant look at it. I laughed at him then, cus he told me he bought a raspberry cheesecake from his favorite place. I like cheesecake, but that is his favorite. I hope there is something more there than a raspberry cheesecake, cus i don't know if I can be excited about something he already said he bought for himself. I really hope he is playing with me.

I just lost half of my post. somehow it gets highlighted and then disappears. When will I learn. I will try to remember what I wrote.

So what did your special someone deliver to you today? Did you get chocolate, flowers, jewelry, or maybe e even all of them. Someone really likes you if you got all of them. And what did you get for your guys? I never know what to get for John. I can always get him chocolate, but we have so much in the house right now, I refuse to buy any more chocolate. I was gonna get him chocolate body paint, but I would have to go into one of THOSE stores. I have never been into an adult store. I know, you are laughing at me, but I just cant get myself to go into walk into an adult store. I start thinking about it and I am all eeewwwww. So, to make a long blog short, I haven't bought anything for John. there, I said it.

So, I will end on that note. I really do hope you all got flowers, chocolate and jewelry. Have a wonderful day.

Wine and Chocolate Tasting in the Lodi Region
I took some pics and put them in this blog, but they didnt transfer over from my document page, so I will post them in separate posts. Crap

Today we went to the Lodi Wine and Chocolate festival. It started at 11:00, and we arrived about 11:45. We were given our glasses, two chocolate bars, and a map of the participating wineries. Inside the visitor’s center, there were seven wineries set up on tables handing out wine and chocolate samples. We went to the closest table, and squeezed our way to the front of the line. Some people just stood in the front, like they were the only ones there, get a grip people! There were so many people there, I just wanted to leave, but I stayed and didn’t complain too much. I get really claustrophobic around that many people. It was just really a very tight squeeze in the visitor’s center.

So when John had his fill of the wines there, we took off for our favorite part of wine country, Lockford. We are not that familiar with the Lodi wineries, and today just wasn’t the day to get to know them on amore personal basis. We will go back, when the area gets a little quieter, and some of those people go home. So we take off for Lockford and one of our favorite wineries, Cigarzin. This is a private winery and the grapes come from Napa. California is more known for its Napa wineries, than the wineries in the central valley. Give them about ten years, and everyone will want Lodi wines, and the Napa snobs will be begging people to drink their wines.

This is a picture of one of the setups in front of the vats of wine. I don’t know if that vat was full or not, but the wine is made in this type of vat in this winery.

This next pic should be of a Chocolate fountain

There were strawberries, cream puffs, rice crispy treats and pretzels to dip in the fountain. This is my idea of decadence. It is kind of messy, but way too much fun. I put some in my wine glass, thinking it would harden, but it didn’t. So then I had to get the chocolate out. It was so good. Chocolate wine, really, it was so good. I caught John dipping a strawberry in the fountain, Yummy. He is a real chocoholic.

Then he caught me dipping a cream puff. It started to rain pretty hard a little later in the day, and we had enough to drink. It’s not like we didn’t know what wines were there. We picked up our wine from our wine club membership, two bottles, and went home. OH, bye the way, I did purchase two bottles form this winery. They have a really great Chardonnay. I also got a sweet desert wine, to pour over ice cream or cheese cake. Just another decadent goody on my list of things I love.

Well, that was our day. It was fun, we ate a lot of chocolate, and even bought some really pricey chocolate truffles for John. It rained all day, but that didn’t keep anyone away from the bottles. We will probably not do this again, if I can help it. I don’t care for the crowds, but a weekend trip would be fun to visit the other wineries. We don’t have to pay for tasting here in this area, so that makes it a little easier to go. Well, I will see you all later. Hope your having a great weekend.

Stop typing, Im trying to catch up

I have some things on my brain to write about, but I just took a peek at few blogs on my friends list. I am so far behind, it would be rude to sit here and write for an hour. I guess since I am already here I can share a few things, nothing major though.

Friday morning I left work beat to death tired, and went to my sisters house. My two other sisters were there, and I needed to see them. As it turned out, they came up to help Marian unload boxes from her recent move. They didn't even realize it was the anniversary of moms passing, until the night before. We unloaded most of the boxes, what a task that is, and took some stuff to the goodwill, then went and had lunch. OMG, I was so tired, I don't know how I drove home. 20 hours with no sleep, don't do that too often. It hurts.

Yesterday, I jumped on here to read blogs and find something, but started chatting with Amber and Bear, and never got to read a thing. Before I knew it, it was late in the UK and dinner time here. So, it is really early here now. One of my goals today is to start at the top of my list and work my way to the bottom, get caught up and say hi to all my wonderful friends. Wish me luck, my journey starts now.
