Since Im here....

I decided I might as well update my blog. It seems so much has happened, but at the same time, not really. there is one thing that happened that John and I are thrilled about and I really must tell you all. Alex bought a new car, on his own and is off of our insurance. Yes folks, we get some of our money back! he is finally able to do it on his own.

He works for a Mitsubitshi dealership in Tulsa. Right now the company is offering a deal to college grads with a degree, so he took the offer. he purchased an 09 lancer GTS and was able to do the financing himself. he also is able to cover his own insurance. a while back, we put the car we bought him in his name only for insurance reasons, so he was able to trade that in to lower the price. he has the whole thing figured out. he wont even have to write a check, just have it deducted from his account. no missed payments. He really wants to build his credit rating for his future. as any parent would be, we are thrilled. he is growing up and learning to make grown up decisions. these are big steps in our childrens lives, and they make us all so proud. and we get some of our money back. yippeeee!

I have decided to join Curves. As I said before, we are doing the biggest looser at work. I walk at least twice a week, but the one free month at the gym has expired. TG, cus I was really not liken that. Curves is right around the corner from me, and I can walk there. double bonus on that one. for the month of March, they are offereing free registration if you bring in a bag of groceries. there just happens to be a cost you less grocery store right next to curves, so this morning I am gonna go shopping, then go sign up. I have done curves before, and I felt good, but got burned out. Im gonna try it again though. John keeps encouraging me to do it, he must have noticed a difference when i was going. I figure if I walk twice a week, curves twice a week, and watch my diet, if nothing else, I will feel better. In any case, it cant hurt. and, its only 34.00 a month. they have a different set up now also, I might be able to get better results. I wil try to remember to keep you updated.

My sister came home from the hospital from her stroke. Her children are there with her to help her. We found out what caused it. She has this thing in her blood that is hereditary called homocysteine. her blood doesnt process proteins the way it should. It seems this may be the cause for a lot of strokes in people, but was unknown as a cause until recently. anyway, it is rare and as I said hereditary. Well, the family now needs to all be checked for this. I zipped off an email to my wonderful doc, and she set me up with an appointment which i went to. It was just a blood test, so no big deal.the results show I am still in the safe area, but i will have to ask more about this. I have done some research, but still have some questions. So far, only that one sister has had the problem. her children need to have the test done also.

Well, this is getting kinda lengthy, so I will cut it off here. I think I have a free weekend, hope yours is fun and relaxing. see ya all next time.

I am still on warrenty until the end of march, so i am sending the laptop in to be repaired. its gonne hurt to not have it for a while, but but now at least i will have th option to run on battery or electric. and guess what, its all free to me. I still have accesst through the desktop, so maybe i will plop down in the other room and check in. I have gotten so used to being able to be in the livingroom, the computer room seems so remote.

Its been too long

hi everyone, again its been a really long time since i have stopped in. part of the reason is that i just get too tired to try and think of something to talk about. i dont even go to my facebook page that much.

anyway, i am in santa cruz this weekend visitng my sisters. One of them is in the hospital, she had a stroke a few weeks back. my other sisters have been stopping in to visit her and her kids are here from florida taking care of her also..

so I have some down time right now. the sisters are making breakfast, pancakes. the sun is shining here today. we have had a lot of rain here latley. that is really a good thing. we still need more to fill our lakes n resourviors. but today, the sun is out. i went on a walk this morniong down my sisters incredibly long and steep driveway. that is my workout for the day.

i think that is it for now. not a whole lot going on other than work. i just wanted to stop in n say hi. HI!
